I got a little edgy.  But OH MAN do I love the results!  

This hot momma is one of my favorite clients.  And her hubby is a old colleague/friend.  I shot their engagement in 2007.  Wedding in 2008.  And now maternity.  What I love about Josh and Lauren is that they trust me.  And when I'm trusted I get to stretch my creativity.  Sometimes things work.  Sometimes they don't.  But when they do...OH BABY!!!

I loved being pregnant.  Really.  And I'm not having selective memory.  I LOVED being pregnant.  All of it.  I felt magical and sexy and alive.  I felt a little miracle inside of me and was so honored and humbled and mesmerized by the whole thing.  It was such an awesome experience.  And let me just be honest here...it was the only time in my life I had boobs.  I had a belly...but I finally had boobs!!  Hey man.  I'm like 100 pounds.  I'll take em how ever I can get them.  

So I always wanted to do a sexy momma shoot.  Typical maternity session turned edgy.  The results??  

One.  Hot.  Momma.

OH BABY!

Steve and Janelle are about to have a baby!!  I shot their wedding a couple of years ago and am so happy to  document the next chapter of their lives!

I've known Steve for a long time.  And he's one of the most laid back guys I know.  But the best part about Steve is his laugh.  It's contagious.  It makes you laugh just hearing it.  It makes me laugh just seeing it!  I've been cracking up just looking at these photos.

I wish that you could hear what I hear when I look at this.  Steve...I love your laugh! 

And to see him with Janelle just makes me smile.  

Because he's happy.  She's just got a way with him.

Steve and Janelle brought their dog.  Their perfectly-well-behaved-picture-posing-well-disciplined-pooch.

OK.  Not really.  But at least we got a couple.

To say that Steve is excited about the baby is an understatement.

Simply understated below:

I asked if Steve had been doing anything to start preparing for the baby.

:)  It seems he has it covered.

Considering he's in my bathtub...thank GOD he has it covered.  HA!

And lastly...Steve is a famous local piano playing/keyboard dude.  So I had to have him play a few notes to lullaby the bambino on a black baby grand piano.

STEALIN' THE SHOW

So I don't usually blog about every session.  But as I'm editing I am so excited that I clicked these few of these little show stealers.  It was a pregnancy session...but the siblings sure seemed to steal the show.  They are adorable!

So since I am heading to Washington, DC in a few hours, I decided to give the proud mama a sneak peak of her cute kiddos to tide her over until I get back.

And last but not least...

The feet picture.

This mama likes feet like I do.  And what's funny is that I really don't like feet.  I just like pictures of feet.  But not because I think they are pretty.  But because the only people whose feet you touch are the people that you love.  It's such an intimate part of our bodies and when you are cuddled up on your couch with your hubby or your kids and those feet get all intertwined as you snuggle...it's a moment to me.  A sweet intimate moment that you only have with people that you love.  And I like to capture those moments.  Which is why I photograph feet. 

Because honestly.  I'm not a big fan of em.  But I sure do like the pictures.
